At Cairn T, the 5000 year old megalithic passage tomb at Loughcrew the rising sun
on the mornings around the equinox illuminates the passage and chamber.
The people who made the effort to get up early on a Saturday morning were rewarded
by a glorious sunrise that illuminated the backstone inside the chamber of Cairn T.
Clare and Leontia from the OPW (Office of Public Works) allowed groups of 5 or 6 to enter
Cairn T from alternative sides to experience the illumination of the chamber.
